This is exactly what we need, for the price of a staple foodstuff to triple over five years, going from $2 per bushel in 2002 to $4 in 2006 to $6 today. Wonder why meats, cheese, eggs, and milk have gone up in price? It’s because corn is the main ingredient in feed for farm animals.
